Crypto 2FA Code Generator
Generate 2FA codes for Binance, Coinbase, OKX, Bybit and other exchanges from the Google Authenticator setup key. Paste the key below — codes are computed in your browser and refresh every 30 seconds.
Codes are computed in your browser with the Web Crypto API — the key never leaves this page. For large balances, prefer a dedicated app or hardware key; see the safety notes below.
Binance: get your Google Authenticator key
Binance labels its TOTP method “Google Authenticator”, but any standard TOTP key works — including this generator:
- In Binance, open your Profile → Security.
- Find Authenticator App (Google Authenticator) and choose Enable.
- Binance shows a QR code; the text key sits beneath it or behind the “can’t scan?” link.
- Copy the key, paste it above, and enter the code to confirm.
At every login and withdrawal confirmation, Binance asks for the current code — generate it here before it expires.
Coinbase, OKX, Bybit and other exchanges
The pattern is the same across exchanges — security settings → authenticator app / 2FA → reveal the manual key when the QR appears:
| Exchange | Where the key hides |
|---|---|
| Coinbase | Settings → Security → Two-factor authentication → Authenticator (TOTP); tap “can’t scan?” for the key. |
| OKX | Security settings → Google Authenticator → the text key is shown with the QR code. |
| Bybit | Account & Security → Google 2FA setup; key shown under the QR code. |
| Kraken | Security → Two-factor authentication → Authenticator app; “enter key manually” reveals it. |
Menu labels change occasionally; if you cannot find the option, search the exchange’s help center for “Google Authenticator setup key”.
When exchange codes need advanced settings
A rejected code with a correct key usually means the exchange issued a non-standard TOTP configuration — 8-digit codes or SHA-256 hashing appear on some platforms and older integrations. Use the advanced options on the TOTP generator page (SHA-1/SHA-256/SHA-512, 6–8 digits, custom periods) and the code will match. Always keep your device clock on automatic: exchange servers are strict about expired windows. Full checklist in 2FA code not working.
Safety notes for exchange keys
Exchange accounts are the highest-value targets for account takeover, and a TOTP key is a permanent credential for minting codes. This tool mitigates the usual online-generator risk by computing everything locally — you can watch DevTools’ Network tab and confirm nothing is uploaded. Even so, for accounts holding significant funds the stronger setup is a dedicated authenticator app or a hardware security key (most major exchanges support passkeys and FIDO2 keys), with this page as the fallback when your phone is out of reach. Only use keys for accounts you own or are authorized to manage. Enabling 2FA and withdrawal allow-lists together is the single most effective exchange hardening step.
Frequently asked questions
How do I get my Binance Google Authenticator key?
In Binance: Profile → Security → Authenticator App (Google Authenticator) → Enable. Binance shows a QR code and the text key beneath or behind the “can’t scan?” link. That key is what you paste into the generator.
My exchange code is rejected even though the key is right — why?
Some exchanges issue keys with non-default settings such as 8 digits or SHA-256. Match them with the advanced options on the TOTP generator, and confirm your clock is synchronized.
Is it safe to keep my exchange 2FA key in a browser tool?
This tool computes codes locally and never uploads the key, but for large balances a dedicated authenticator app or hardware key is safer. See the safety guide for the full trade-off.
